SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain has been Scattered in Mon State, isolated inTaninthayi Region, ,weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon ,Ayeyarwady Regions and Shan, Rakhine and Kayin States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) below January average temperature in Kachin State and were (3°C) to (4°C) above January average temperatures in Bago Region, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (1°C) in Hakha, (2°C) in Putao and (4°C) each in Heho and Moekok. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Kyeikmayaw (2.36)inches, Chaungsone (0.55)inch AND Mudon (0.43)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 20th January, 2017: Rain will be isolated in Taninthayi Region, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions and Shan State and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
