SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw and Magway Region, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Chin and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Eastern Shan State and widespread in Lower Sagaing, Bago and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan (North& South), Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States with regionally heavy falls in Mandalay Region. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Launglone (2.83)inches, Patheingyi (2.38)inches, Maungdaw (2.24)inches, Manaung (2.05)inches, Amarapura (2.02)inches, Naungcho, Mandalay and Taungkok (1.81)inches each, Putao (1.77)inches, Bago and Dawei (1.73)inches each and Hlaingbwe (1.53)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 7th September, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Chin and Kayah States and widespread in Bago Region,  Shan, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States with isolated heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Chin and Rakhine States. Degree of certainly is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-8)feet in along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions and Shan State.
