SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region and Rakhine, Kayah States. Rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Kachin and Southern Shan States, fairly widespread in Chin State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Kayin State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (2.30) inches in Hlaingbwe(Shwegwin), (1.10) inches in Yangon (Mingaladon), (0.99) inch in Naypyitaw(Zeyarthiri), (0.83) inch each in Heho and Nyaung Shwe, (0.79) inch in Kawkareik, (0.67) inch in Hpa-an and (0.63) inch in Thazi(Hlaingtat).

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs MST today, the Tropical Depression over South China Sea centered at about (230)nautical miles Southeast of Da Nang, Vietnam. It is move to West-Northwestwards and likely intensify into Tropical Storm and will cross the Coast of middle Vietnam, around morning of (15.10.2022) and then weaken into a Land Depression.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 15th October, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Southern Shan, Kayin, Mon States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about (3-6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Lower Myanmar areas.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 15th October, 2022:           Isolated rain or thundershowers.  Degree of certainty is (80%).

FORECAST FOR YANGON AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 15th October, 2022:                Isolated rain or thundershowers.  Degree of certainty is (80%).

FORECAST FOR MANDALAY AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 15th October, 2022:           Likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers.  Degree of certainty is (60%).

WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR WEEKEND: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw and Yangon Region and isolated in Mandalay Region.
