SUMMARY OF OBSERV5ATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather ispartly cloudy in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing and Magway Regoins. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay Region, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, (Northern and Eastern)Shan, Rakhine, Kayin States, fairly widespread in Southern Shan and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region. Daytemperatures were (7°C) to (8°C) above May average temperatures in Lower Sagaing Region and Chin State, (5°C) to (6°C) above May average temperatures in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, (3°C) to (4°C) above May average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions andKachin, (Northernand Eastern)Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin States and (2°C) above May average temperatures in Southern Shanand Mon States and about May average temperatures in Yangon and Taninthayi Regions. The significant day temperatures were (46°C) in Chauk, (44°C) in Gangaw and (43°C) each in Mawlaik, Myinmu, Myingyan, Nyaung Oo, Tada U (Aviation) and Pauk. The noteworthyamount of rainfall recorded were (3.04) inches in Dawei, (2.87) inches in Launglon, (2.44) inches in Paung, (2.32) inches in Myitkyina, (2.17) inches in Hainggyigyun, (2.09) inches in Labutta, (2.06) inches in Thaton, (2.01)inches in Ann, (1.77)inches in Coco-Island, (1.69)inches in Hakha and (1.57)inches in Maungdaw.

BAY INFERENCE:According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Eastcentral Bay of Bengal still persists. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay and cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 24^th May, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, TaninthayiRegions and Mon State, fairlywidespread in Bago Region and Rakhine, Kayin States, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Kayah States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA:Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9-13) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Likelihood of advancement of Southwest Monsoon into the Deltaic areas.
