BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 22nd May, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State, fairly widespread in Kachin, Kayin States, scattered in Bago Region and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Taninthayi Regions. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon –Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6.9) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon –Taninthayi Coasts and about (4-6) feet off and along Rakhine Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Widespread to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
