SUMMARY OF OBSERV5ATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, (Northern and Eastern)Shan, Chin States, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah State, scattered in Mandalay Region and isolated in Magway,  Ayeyarwady Regions and Southern Shan, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) above May average temperature in Eastern Shan State, (2°C) above May average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing,  Bago, Yangon,  Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Region and Rakhine, Mon State and (3°C) below May average temperature in Northern Shan State and about May average temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (42°C)each in Chauk, Minbu, Magway, Aunglan and Ann and (41°C) each in Taungdwingyi, Sinbyugyun, Taunggu and Bawlakhae. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (2.00) inches in Myitkyina, (1.77) inches in Tamu, (1.50) inches in Kyaukmae, (1.46) inches in Tiddim, (1.06)incheseach in Paletwa and Ramthlo, (0.78) inch in Hkamti and (0.74) incheach in Hakha and Mogoke.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 06thMay, 2021: Weather will be partly cloudy inNaypyitaw, Bago and Yangon Regions. Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and (Northern and Eastern) Shan State, scattered in Taninthayi Region and Southern Shan, Chin, Kayah States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Likelihood of slight increase of day temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Bago Regions.
