SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw and Bago Region and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below December average temperature in Taninthayi Region, (2°C) above December average temperatures in Ayeyarwady Region and Eastern Shan State, (3°C) to (4°C) above December average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan, Rakhine States and (5°C) above December average temperature in Southern Shan State and about December average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (2°C) in Hakha, (6°C) in Tiddim, (7°C) in Putao,  and (8°C) each in Machanbaw, Falam and Pyinoolwin.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the South Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 24th December 2023: Light rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern Shan States. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Strong easterly winds with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in strong easterly winds may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6-9) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (4-6) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers in Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kachin, NorthernShan States.
