SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and isolated in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon States. Weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing Region and Eastern Shan, Kayah States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below November average temperature in Chin State and (2°C) above November average temperatures in Mandalay, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Kayin, Mon States, (3°C) above November average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Kayah State and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (4°C) in Hakha, (8°C) in Tiddim and (10°C) each in Mongyang and Pyinoolwin. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (1.02) inches in Ye, (0.75) inch in Myeik, (0.59) inch each in Maubin and Kawthaung and (0.39) inch in Launglon.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the North Bay, a few cloud over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 12th November 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Mon State and isolated in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin State. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing Region and Northern Shan State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing over the Taninthayi Region. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as thunder, lightning,  hail and isolated rain or thundershowers may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.

FORECAST FOR MANDALAY AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 12th November 2023:        Generally fair weather.
