SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Yangon Region and Mon State, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Kayin States, isolated in Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Southern Shan State with isolated heavyfalls in Bago Region and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (3.32) inches in Bago, (2.01) inches in Mudon, (1.85) inches in Dawei, (1.10) inches in Khayan, (0.98) inch each in Hpa-an(Agromet) and Ye and (0.87)inch in Kyeikmayaw and (0.79) inch in Launglon.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 28th October 2023: Weather will be partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region and Northern Shan, Chin States. Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Mon State, scattered in Taninthayi Region and Southern Shan, Kayin States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 28th October 2023:            Isolated rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is (80%).

WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR WEEKEND: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, fairly widespread in Yangon Region and isolated in Mandalay Region.
