BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm “HAMOON” which has crossed Bangladesh coast close to the South of Chittagong is moving continuously Northeastwards. Weather is a few cloud over the Westcentral and Southwest Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 25th October 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Eastern Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine State. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squall with rough seas will be experienced off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (45-50) mph. Sea will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (10-13) feet in off and along Rakhine Coast and (4-7) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon ststes.
