BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloudy over the Northeast Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEACTURES:  According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Typhoon “Koinu” over the South China Sea has

moved slowly Westwards and downgraded into a Severe Tropical Storm “Koinu”. It is likely to move  West-Southwards and downgrade into a Tropical Storm “Koinu”.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 09th October 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Sagaing, Magway Regions Chin, Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Madway Region and Kachin, Northern Shan, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in  Naypyitaw,  Bago Region and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of thundery activities in Deltaic areas.
