BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Northeast Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (15:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Typhoon “Koinu” over the South China Sea is likely to move slowly Westwards and downgrade into a Severe Tropical Storm “Koinu”.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 09th October 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Rakhine State, fairly widespread in Sagaing, Magway Regions and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Chin, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Yangon Region and Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Northern Shan, Kayin States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of thundery activities in Deltaic areas.
