BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Northeast Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEACTURES:  According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Typhoon “Koniu” over the South China Sea may continue to move slowly West-Southwestwards and downgrade into a Severe Tropical Storm “Koniu”.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 08th October 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Magway Region and Rakhine State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Shan, Chin, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally  heavyfalls in Bago Region and Mon  State and isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Magway, Yangon  Regions and Kayin State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6-8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of thundery activities in Deltaic areas.
