SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Lower Sagaing Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Lower sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Yangon Regions. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (4.33) inches in Ye, (4.25) inches in Paung, (4.02) inches in Belin, (3.43) inches in Yangon(Northern Dagon), (3.19) inches in Chaungsone, (2.84) inches each in Machanbaw and Thaton, (2.74) inches in Rambree, (2.68) inches each in Phyarpon and Hpa-an, (2.64) inches in Coco Island and (2.60) inches in Pauktaw.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Northeast Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 02nd October 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine, Kayin States.
