SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kayah State. Rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Magway Region, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Ayeyarwady Region and Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Naypyitaw and Mandalay Region. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (3.35) inches in Pyinoolwin(Zeepingyi), (3.15) inches in Tada U(Aviation), (2.91) inches in Patheingyi(Shwesayan), (2.76) inches in Amarapura, (2.50) inches in Singaing, (2.40) inches in Naypyitaw(Dekkhinathiri), (2.32) inches in Madaya, (2.28) inches in Momate(Myitsone), (2.21) inches in Mawlamyine and (2.17) inches in Mogoke.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 24th August, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Magway Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Ayeyarwady Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kachin State. STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about (6 - 8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
