SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Kayah State, scattered in Magway Region, fairly widespread in Eastern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Mandalay Region and Kayin State and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions and Kachin, Mon States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (3.30) inches in Paing Kyone, (3.28) inches in Bhamo, (3.11) inches each in Hpa-an and Thaton, (2.91) inches each in Mawlaik, Kanbalu and Bago, (2.70) inches in Payathonsu, (2.40) inches in Phyarpon, (2.36) inches in Kyeikmayaw and (2.28) inches each in Homalin, Kalay, Tagaung and Taungdwingyi.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 23rd August, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Magway Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago Regions and Kachin, Mon States.
