SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Kayah State, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions and Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Mandalay Region and Kayin State and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Mon States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (6.69) inches in Shan-Ywar-Thit, (6.22) inches in Kyauktaw, (4.52) inches each in Mogoke and Kawkareik, (4.21) inches in Paletwa, (3.35) inches in Hkamti, (3.27) inches in Hpa-an, (3.20) inches in Kyeikdon, (3.07) inches in Putao, (3.04) inches each in Kya-In-Seikkyi and Theinzayet and (3.00) inches in Paing Kyone.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 05th August, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Northern Shan, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at time off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
