BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 22nd June, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions, scattered in Kayah State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Northern Shan, Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts and (5-7) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Ayeyarwady Region and Kachin, Rakhine States.
