SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Naypyitaw. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions, scattered in Mandalay Region and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Northern Shan, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine, Mon States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (4.33) inches each in Kyeikkhame and Theinzayet, (3.90) inches in Thandwe, (3.82) inches in Belin, (3.31) inches in Gwa, (2.95) inches in Mogaung, (2.79) inches in Thaton, (2.56) inches in Mudon, (2.36) inches in Mye Bon, (2.24) inches in Paung, (2.20) inches each in Nyaunglaybin and Ye and (2.09) inches each in Machanbaw and Chaungsone.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.  

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 20th June, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Shan, Rakhine, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in the Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.  

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) mph. Wave height will be about (6-9) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Rakhine States.
