SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Mon State, isolated in Upper Sagaing, Yangon Regions andKachin, Chin, RakhineStates and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.Day temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) above May average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Mandalay,Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady,Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Chin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and (2°C) above May average temperatures in SagaingRegion and Kachin State and about May average temperature in Rakhine State.The significant day temperatures were (41°C) in Chauk and (40°C) each in NyaungOo, Tatkon, Minbu, Magway, Aunglan, Taungdwingyi and Hpasaung. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (0.51) inch in Taungkok,(0.47) inch in Kyeikmayaw, (0.24) inch in Chaungsone, (0.12) inchin Mudon and (0.08) inch in Mingin.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Southwest Bay and a few cloudelsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 22ndMay, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Bago, Yangon, TaninthayiRegions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States and isolated in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay,AyeyarwadyRegions and Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing and MagwayRegions.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Likelihood of advancement of Southwest monsoon into the Southern Myanmar areas.
