BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, a low pressure area may form over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Andaman Sea during next (18)hrs. It is likely to intensify into a Depression around (9.5.2023) then continue to move Northwards and intensify into a Cyclonic Storm over the Central Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Andaman Sea around (10.5.2023). Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 08th May, 2023: Weather will be partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions and Chin, Rkhine States. Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Kayah States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
