SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kachin, Southern Shan States, isolated in Eastern Shan State and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (5°C) to (6°C) above April average temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, (3°C) to (4°C) above April average temperatures in Shan, Chin, Kayah States, (2°C) above April average temperatures in Lower Sagaing Region and Mon State and (2°C) below April average temperature in Magway Region and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (44°C) in Gangaw and (43°C) each in Kalay, Mingin and Myinmu. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (0.39) inch in Putao, (0.32) inch in Machanbaw, (0.12) inch in Loilin and (0.04) inch in Nyaung Shwe.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 18th April, 2023: Rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan States. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
