SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Southern Shan, Chin States, scattered in Mandalay Region and Eastern Shan State, isolated in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions and Northern Shan, Rakhine States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (5°C) above March average temperature in Mon State, (3°C) to (4°C) above March average temperatures in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin State, (2°C) below March average temperature in Lower Sagaing Region, (4°C) below March average temperature in Upper Sagaing Region and (5°C) to (6°C) below March average temperatures in Kachin, Chin States  and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (39°C) in Bawlakhae and (38°C) each in Ann, Bago, Shwekyin, Nyaunglaybin, Laydatpyin (Pyay), Central Yangon, Khayan, Ngathaichaung, Hpasaung, Kawkareik, Myawaddy, Mawlamyine, Belin and Theinzayet. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (0.32) inch in Pauk, (0.28) inch in Monyin, (0.20) inch in Shwegu, (0.12) inch in Muse and (0.08) inch each in Nyaung Shwe, Tiddim, Tongzan, Mawlaik and Kalewa.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 20th March, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and (Northern and Southern) Shan, Rakhine States, isolated in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Eastern Shan State. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine States.
