SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and (Northern and Southern) Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (4°C) below January average temperature in Chin State, (2°C) below January average temperatures in Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine State and (2°C) above January average temperature in Naypyitaw and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (-2°C) in Hakha, (2°C) in Namsam, (3°C) in Heho and (4°C) each in Kyaukmae, Mongyang and Tiddim.

BAY INFERENCE:  Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 21st January, 2023: Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions.
