SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Kayah States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) above January average temperatures in Southern Shan, Mon States and (3°C) to (4°C) above January average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Ayeyarwady Region and Kayah, Kayin States and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (0°C) in Hakha, (4°C) each in Putao, Heho, (5°C) each in Tiddim, Pyinoolwin and (6°C) each in Kyaukmae, Namsam, Loilin, Mongyang and Tongzan.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is ‌partly cloudy over the South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 07th January, 2023: Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Magway, Bago Regions and Chin, Rakhine States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5 - 7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Shan, Kayah States.
