BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (17:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved north-northwestwards and centered at about (580) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco –Island, (685) Nautical miles West- Southwest of Hainggyigyun(Myanmar), (210) Nautical miles East-Northeast of Trincomalee(Sri Lanka), (285) Nautical miles East-Southeast of Nagappattinam and (325) Nautical miles East-Southeast of Chennai(India).Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea, North Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 23th December, 2022: Rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Upper Sagaing, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough sea are likely at time off and along Myanmar Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35) mph. Wave height will be about (6-9) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
