BAY INFERENCE:  According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Severe Cyclonic Storm “MANDOUS” over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved West-Northwestwards and weakened into a Cyclonic Storm “MANDOUS” over Southwest Bay of Bengal (off North Tamilnadu- Puducherry coasts(India)). It is centered at about (740) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island, (825) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Hainggyigyun (Myanmar), (125) Nautical miles Northeast of Jaffna (Sri Lanka) and (105) Nautical miles South-Southeast of Chennai(India). Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea, Westcentral and Southwest Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 10th December, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be generally fair in Lower Sagaing Region and Northern Shan State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA:Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at timesoff and along Myanmar Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35) mph.Wave height will be about (7-9) feet off and along Myanmar Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States.

FORECAST FOR MANDALAY AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 10th December, 2022:        Generally fair weather.

WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR WEEKEND: Weather will be partly cloudy inNaypyitaw and Mandalay Region and light rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Yangon Region.
