SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region and Eastern Shan State, scattered in Ayeyarwady Region, isolated in Yangon Region and Kayah, Mon States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (6°C) below November average temperature in Chin State, (2°C) below November average temperatures in Upper Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan States and (2°C) above November average temperatures in Naypyitaw and Southern Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States, (3°C) above November average temperature in Eastern Shan State and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (0°C) in Hakha, (6°C) in Tiddim, (8°C) each in Putao and Mogoke and (9°C) each in Falam, Matupi and Pyinoolwin. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (1.66) inches in Myeik, (0.55) inch in Coco-Island, (0.43) inch in Launglon, (0.28) inch in Wakema and (0.12) inch in Pantanaw.

BAY INFERENCE:  According to the observations at (12:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Low Pressure Area over Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Andaman Sea still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwest wards and gradually concentrate into a Depression over South Bay of Bengal around (19.11.2022). It is likely to reach North Tamilnadu-Puducherry and South Andhra Pradesh coasts(India) around (22.11.2022). Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 18th November, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah State, scattered in (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Kayin, Mon States,  isolated in Magway, Bago Regions and Chin, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (100%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (35) mph. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
