BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwest and reach Andhra Pradesh Coast, India during next two days. Weather is partly cloudy over the Northeast Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID EVENING OF THE 4th October, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Shan(Northern, Eastern), fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago Region, Kachin, Southern Shan, Rakhine, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30- 35) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts and (5-7) feet Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of withdrawal of Southwest monsoon from the Deltaic Myanmar areas.
