SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in (Northern and Eastern) Shan State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing Region and Kachin, Southern Shan States, scattered in Mandalay Region, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago Regions and Rakhine State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Magway, Taninthayi Regions and isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay Region. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (4.04) inches in Htilin, (3.58) inches in Myeik, (3.31) inches in Launglon, (2.95) inches in Pauk, (2.48) inches each in Dawei and Kawthaung, (2.36) inches in Ponnagyun, (2.01) inches in Sinbyugyun, (1.81) inches in Nyaung Oo, (1.73) inches in Coco Island, (1.69) inches in Kyaukhtu and (1.65) inches in Hainggyigyun.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, a low pressure area has formed over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal and adjoining Eastcentral Bay of Bengal. It is likely intensify into a well marked low pressure area over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal (off North Andhra Pradesh and South Odisha Coasts, India) during next (48) hours. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 09th September, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kachin, Shan States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Magway, Bago Regions and Chin, Rakhine Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) mph. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Shan, Rakhine, Mon States.
