BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and  moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 27th August, 2022:  Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in the whole country with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Shan, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30- 35)mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (4-7) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
