BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs MST today, the Tropical Storm “Ma-On” over South China sea have crossed over Guangdong Province moved into the west and located in the Guangxi Province. It is forecast to move West-Northwestwards and will reach to Vietnam and generually downgrads as a Tropical Depression. Due to the Tropical Depression “Ma-on”, rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread to widespread in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago Regions and Kachin, Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States will likelihood of isolated heavyfalls during from today evening to (28.8.2022).

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 26th August, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, States,fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Increase of rain in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago Regions and Kachin, Shan, Kay​ah,Kayin, Mon States.
