SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather have been partly cloudy in Naypyitaw and rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay and Magway Regions, scattered in Lower Sagaing Region, fairly widespread in Kachin, (Northern and Eastern)Shan, KayahStates and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Mon State. Day temperatures were (2°C) below May average temperature in Mon State and about May average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (38°C) in Myinmu and (37°C) each in Hkamti, Homalin, Chauk and Sinbyugyun. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (3.31) inches in Kyeikkhame, (2.36) inches each in Monyin and Mudon, (2.13) inches in Paung, (1.69) inches in Kyeikmayaw, (1.61) inches in Naungcho, (1.57) inches in Nyaunglaybin, (1.53) inches in Thipaw, (1.44) inches in Kya-In-Seikkyi, (1.42) inches in Belin, (1.38) inches in Zalun and (1.22) inches in Theinzayet.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea, South Bay, East Central Bay and Northeast Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 2nd June, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Magway Region, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, fairly widespread in (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Chin, Kayah, Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and Stateswith likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
