BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay of Bengal. Weather is  cloudy over the Eastcentral Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE19thMay, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing. Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States.Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasionally squall with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (40) mph. Sea will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (9-11) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-TaninthayiCoasts and (5-7) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of advancement of Southwest monsoon into the Deltaic areas.
