SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Taninthayi Region. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Chin and Kayin States, scattered in Yangon Region and Mon State,fairly wodespread in Sagaing, Magway Regions and Kachin State andwidespread in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) above January average temperatures in Magway and Yangon Regions, (3°C) to (4°C) above January average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Mon States, (5°C) to (6°C) above January average temperatures in Southern Shan and Kayin States, (7°C) above January average temperature Northern Shan State and about January average temperature in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions. The significant night temperatures were (4°C) in Hakha, (5°C) in Tongzan and (6°C) in Tiddim. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recordedwere (1.50) inches in Minesat, (1.42) inches each in Kengtung, Pathein and Chaungsone, (1.26) inchesin Nyaungshwe, (1.22) inches in Taunggyi, (1.18) inches in Kyaukmae, (1.02)inches each in Namsam, Yamethin and Naypyitaw(Zayarthiri) and (0.98) inch each in Loilin and Nyaunglaybin.

BAY INFERENCE:Weather is a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17th January, 2022:  Weather will be partly cloudy in Taninthayi Region. Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in (Southern and Eastern)Shan and Kayah States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangaon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States.Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin,Shan States.
