SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Mon States and generally fair inthe remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) above December average temperatures in Eastern Shan andKayin States and (3°C) above December average temperature in Mon State and about December average temperaturesin the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (-1°C) in Hakha, (2°C) in Namsam, (3°C)in Heho and (4°C) each in Loilin and Tiddim.

BAY INFERENCE:Weather is a few cloudover the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and generally fair elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 29th December, 2021: Rain are likely to be isolated in Taninthayi Region and Kachin, Eastern Shan States. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will bepartly cloudy in Upper SagaingRegion and (Northern and Southern)Shan, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Strong easterly winds with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in strong easterly winds may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (5-7) feet  inDeltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated light rain inUpper Sagaing Region and Kachin, ShanStates.
