SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Northern Shan State, scattered in Taninthayi Region and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States, fairly widespread in Lower SagaingRegion and Eastern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Mandalay and Magway Regions.The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (2.71) inches in Nyaungoo, (2.48) inches in Hainggyigyun, (2.36) inches in Myingyan, (1.93) inches in Manaung, (1.77) inches in Thayat, (1.58) inches in Pakokku, (1.50) inches each in GangawandSaw, (1.40) inches in Htilin, (1.34) inches in Taungtha and (1.18) inches each in Mingin and Khayan.

BAY INFERENCE:According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, a low pressure area  has formed over the Northwest Bay and adjoining coastal areas of West Bengal. Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 29th September, 2021:Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Kachin and Northern Shan States, scattered in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and widespread in Chin and Rakhine Stateswith likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in MandalayRegion and Rakhine State.Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about (4– 7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of withdrawal of Southwest monsoon from the Central Myanmar areas.
