SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kachin State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Chin State, scattered in Sagaing Region and RakhineState, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and Kayin State and isolated heavyfalls in Magway, Taninthayi Regions.The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (4.42) inches in Kya-In-Seikkyi, (4.12) inches in Kyeikdon, (3.46) inches in Paing Kyone, (3.39) inches in Myeik, (2.83) inches in Naypyitaw(Pobbathiri), (2.72) inches in Lanunglon, (2.17) inches in Bawlakhae, (2.13) inches in Mandalay(Aungmyethazan), (2.10) inches in Shwesaryan, (2.01) inches in Ye, (1.97) inches in Labutta and (1.89) inches each in Naypyitaw(Dekkhinathiri) and Hpa-an.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm “GULAB” over the Northwest Bay and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bangal has moved Westwards and centered at about (390) Nautical miles Southwest of Sittwe, (480) Nautical miles West-Northwest of Gwa, (490) Nautical miles Northwest of Hainggyigyun (Myanmar), (90) Nautical miles Southeast of Gopalpur and (120) Nautical miles East of Kalingapatnam(India).Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 27th September, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, scattered in Lower Sagaing Region and Northern Shan, Chin States, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway Regions and (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Rakhine Statesand widespread in the remaining Regions and Stateswith likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine State.Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9 -12)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
