SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay Region, scattered in Magway Region and (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Kayin, Mon States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions andNorthern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions.The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (2.87) inches in Mohnyin, (2.80) inches in Tiddim, (2.52) inches each in Sittwe and Thandwe, (2.48) inches each in Myitsone(Moemate) and Kanbalu, (2.16) inches each in Kalewa and Mogoke, (1.73) inches in Mawlaik, (1.69) inches in Mingin and (1.57) inches in Gangaw.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 20th September, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan, RakhineStates and scattered in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about (4– 6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
