SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Magway Region and Kayah State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay Regions, scattered in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin State, fairly widespread in Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Eastern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Ragions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Kachin, Mon States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (5.08) inches in Thaton, (3.47) inches in Myitkyina, (2.76) inches in Kyeikkhame, (2.65) inches in Mawlamyine, (2.30) inches in Paing Kyone, (1.81) inches in Mudon, (1.72) inches in Kyeikdon, (1.65) inches in Ye, (1.49) inches each in Mongyang, Maungdaw and Paung.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25thAugust, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing,Yangon Regions and widespread in the remaining Ragions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay Region and Kachin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate inMyanmarwaters. Wave height will be about (4-7)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Likelihood of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
