SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Kayin State, scattered in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan, Mon States, fairly widespread in Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing Region and isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Yangon Regions. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (4.21) inches in Hlegu, (3.94) inches in Thabeikyin, (2.99) inches in Hkamti, (2.75) inches in Hmawbi(Agro), (2.21) inches in Namsam, (1.85) inches in Shwebo, (1.65) inches in Monywa, (1.34) inches in Manaung, (1.14) inches in Loilin, (1.10) inches in Putao and (1.02) inches each in Kani, Kyaukpyu and Ngathaichaung.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 21stAugust, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayin State, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Southern Shan, Kayah, Mon States, and widespread in the remaining Regions and States.
