SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Lower Sagaing Region, fairly widespread in Mandalay Region and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (6.14) inches in Thandwe, (3.70) inches in Hlainggyigyun, (3.27) inches in Manaung, (2.72) inches in Gwa, (2.45) inches in Mogoke, (2.20) inches in Chaungsone, (2.17) inches in Launglon, (2.12) inches in Ann, (2.01) inches in Taungkok, (1.97) inches in Shan-Ywar-Thit, (1.81) inches each in Hmawbi (Agro-met) and Kyeikmayaw and (1.61) inches each in Madauk and Okkan.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 06thAugust, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Sagaing,Mandalay Regions and Kachin, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regionsand States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Mon State.
