SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region. Rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Bago Region and Kachin, Chin States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (12.67) inches in Maungdaw, (9.43) inches in Shwegwun, (6.02) inches in Shan-Ywar-Thit, (5.87) inches in Theinzayet, (5.50) inches in Paing Kyone, (5.36) inches in Ann, (5.15) inches in Kamamaung (Hpapun), (4.73) inches in Hlaingbwe, (4.69) inches in Kawkareik, (4.61) inches in Gwa, (4.45) inches in Taungkok, (4.29) inches in Zaung Tu, (4.13) inches in Paletwa and (3.94) inches each in Sittwe and Hpa-an.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the North Bay of Bengal and adjoining Bangladesh and West Bengal Coasts has crossed to Bangladesh and adjoining West Bengal Coast. Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 29th July, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Northern Shan, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Kachin, Chin States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8 -11)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Strong monsoon.
