SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Lower Sagaing Region, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Kayin, Mon States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (5.79) inches in Paung, (5.55) inches in Mudon, (4.72) inches in Kyeikmayaw, (4.58) inches in Kya-In-Seikkyi, (4.13) inchesin Mawlamyine, (3.70) inches in Kyeikkhame, (3.60) inches in Kyeikdon(Kya-In-Seikkyi), (3.54) inches in Chaungsone, (3.50) inches in Paing Kyone, (3.23) inches in Kawkareik, (2.75) inches in Hpa-an, (2.60) inches in Bhamo and (2.40) inches in Kataingti(Hpapun).

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observation at (13:30)hrs MST today the low pressure area over Northwest  Bay of Bengal still persists.Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 23rd July, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing Region, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Eastern Shan, Chin, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8-13) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Strong monsoon.
