SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been  isolated in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Kachin, Eastern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (8.62) inches in Manaung, (6.65) inches in Kyaukpyu, (4.92) inches in Gwa, (4.29) inches in Launglon, (4.21) inches in Dawei, (4.18) inches in Sittwe, (3.74) inches in Thandwe, (3.50) inches each in Madauk and Ngathaichaung, (3.19) inches in Shwekyin, (3.15) inches in Haiggyigyun, (2.95) inches in Myeik, (2.88) inches in Hpa-an, (2.83) inches in Kyeikmayaw and (2.80) inches in Labutta.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. 

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17th June, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will beisolated in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan State, fairly widespread Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady Region and Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA:Squalls with rough seas are likely attimes off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8-12) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of increase of rain in Rakhine Coastal areas.
