SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been  isolated in Lower Sagaing Region and Northern Shan State, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Bago Regions. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (8.19) inches in Hkamti, (5.51) inches in Kungyangon, (5.16) inches in Kyaukpyu, (5.00) inches in Sittwe, (4.92) inches in Mudon, (4.88) inches in Maungdaw, (4.84) inches in Thandwe, (4.21) inches in Thaton, (4.17) inches each in Maubin and Ye, (4.09) inches in Belin, (3.98) inches in Gwa, (3.75) inches in Kyeikdon, (3.74)inches in Launglon and (3.50) inches each in Myauk U, Zaung Tu and Okkan.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. 

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 16th June, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Kachin, Southern Shan, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady Region and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely attimes off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8-12) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of increase of rain in Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
