SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Kayah Stateand widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions and Mon Stateand isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon Regions and Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (4.65) inches in Thaton, (4.45) inches in Myitkyina, (4.41) inches in Yay, (3.90) inches in Kyaukpyu, (3.62) inches in Hmawbi(Agro-Met), (3.54) inches in Gyobingauk, (3.31) inches in Hpa-an(Agro-Met), (2.87) inches in Hlegu, (2.85) inchesin Shwegon(Hlaingbwe), (2.84)inches in Phyu, (2.80) inches in Mogaung and (2.76)inches in Pinlaebu.

BAY INFERENCE:According to the observations at (10:30)hrs M.S.T today, a low pressure area has formed over the Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Odisha and West Bengal Coasts(India).Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 12th June, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA:Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9-13) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
