SUMMARY OF OBSERV5ATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kayah State. Rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Sagaing Region and Chin State, scattered in Ayeyarwady Region and Shan, Rakhine, Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (1.77) inches in Bhamo, (1.22) inches in Kani, (0.87) inch in Naypyitaw(Zeyarthiri), (0.71) inch in Shwegu, (0.67) inch each in Monyin, Katha and Sittwe, (0.62) inch in Pyay and (0.59) inch in Kyauktaw.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea, South Bay, Eastcentral Bay and Northeast Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 03rd June, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Kachin, Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Rakhine, Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of advancement of Southwest Monsoon into the Northern Myanmar areas.
