SUMMARY OF OBSERV5ATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States and scattered in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Mandalay Region and isolated heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing Region. Day temperatures were (5°C) above May average temperature in Upper Sagaing Region, (3°C) to (4°C) above May average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions and Kachin,Chin States and (2°C) above May average temperatures in Mandalay, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Northern Shan, Mon States and about May average temperaturesin the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (42°C) each in Mingin, Tada U (Avia), Chauk and Pauk and (41°C) each in Shwebo, Myinmu, Mandalay and Nyaung Oo. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (2.73) inches in Patheingyi(Agro), (2.44) inches in Nyaung Oo, (2.20) inches in Kani, (1.89) inches in Mandalay, (1.61) inches in Dawei, (1.54)inches in Tada U (Avia), (1.46) inches in Matupi, (1.38) inches in Chaungsone and (1.26) inches in Pakokku.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak over the Eastcentral Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloudto partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 01stJune, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region and Shan, Kayin, Mon States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Yangon Regions and Kachin, Kayah States andscattered in the remaining Regions and States. STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
