SUMMARY OF OBSERV5ATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather is partly cloudy in Sagaing Region and Northern Shan, Rakhine States. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Southern Shan, Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States. Day temperatures were (5°C) above May average temperatures in Lower Sagaing andMandalay Regions, (3°C) to (4°C) above May average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Magway,Bago Regions and Kachin, (Northern and Southern)Shan, Chin, Kayin, Mon States and (2°C) above May average temperatures in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regionsand Rakhine, Kayah States and about May average temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (43°C) in Bawlakhae and (42°C) each in Monywa, Myinmu, Myingyan, Nyaung Oo, Tada U(Aviation), Chauk, Magway, Gangaw and Hpasaung. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (5.90) inchesin Kya-In-Seikkyi, (4.09) inches in Mudon, (3.23) inches in Myeik, (3.00) inches in Shwegwin(Hlaingbwe), (2.91) inches in Phyu, (2.56) inches in Chaungsone, (2.12) inches in Mawlamyine, (1.97) inches in Hpa-an (Agro), (1.61) inches each in Pinlaung and Hmawbi(Agro), (1.54) inches in Payathonsu and (1.50) inches in Dawei.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea, South Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloudelsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 30th May, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region andKayin,Mon States, fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon, AyeyarwadyRegions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Kayah States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and Kachin, Chin States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA:Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6 -9)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Likelihood of advancement of Southwest Monsoon into the Central Myanmar areas.
